Experience five of Kenya’s most distinctive wildlife and scenic destinations on this 8-day Kenya safari from Nairobi. Begin at Ol Pejeta Conservancy for rhinos, chimpanzees, and conservation-focused game viewing, then continue to Lake Nakuru, the Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, and finally Amboseli National Park.
This is a private mid-range safari with a customized 4×4 Land Cruiser reserved exclusively for your party. The itinerary includes seven nights of selected lodge and tented-camp accommodation, standard park and conservancy fees, scheduled private game drives, a Lake Naivasha boat safari, Crescent Island guided walk and meals listed in the itinerary.
The route works particularly well for first-time visitors, couples, families and private groups who want a broad Kenya experience without adding internal flights or squeezing too many destinations into the eight days.

Nairobi → Ol Pejeta Conservancy → Lake Nakuru → Masai Mara → Lake Naivasha → Amboseli → Nairobi
This order creates a practical overland circuit. You first travel north into the central highlands, continue into the Rift Valley, move southwest to the Masai Mara, return through Lake Naivasha and then finish south of Nairobi in Amboseli.
The longest transfer is Lake Naivasha to Amboseli. Therefore, the standard itinerary does not try to combine Hell’s Gate with that transfer, which would make an already long road day unnecessarily busy.
This itinerary provides exceptional variety without repeating the same safari environment each day. Ol Pejeta introduces conservation, rhinos and chimpanzees; Lake Nakuru adds a compact Rift Valley wildlife sanctuary; the Masai Mara provides the main big-cat and savannah experience; Lake Naivasha adds water and walking activities; and Amboseli finishes the journey with elephants and views towards Mount Kilimanjaro when the weather is clear.
The private Land Cruiser also remains with your party throughout the journey. As a result, you have more flexibility over photography stops, comfort breaks and game-drive pacing than travelers on a group-joining safari.
Ol Pejeta is particularly strong for rhino conservation and also provides opportunities to see elephants, buffaloes, lions, giraffes and other wildlife. Its standard conservancy entry includes access to the chimpanzee sanctuary, while specialist conservation activities can be added separately.
Lake Nakuru offers further opportunities to see both black and white rhinos, along with Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, waterbucks and varied birdlife. Flamingos may occur along the shoreline, although their numbers naturally change with lake conditions.
The Masai Mara also offers opportunities to see lions, elephants, buffaloes, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and other plains wildlife. Finally, Amboseli is especially known for large elephant herds and wetlands. Wildlife and migration movements remain natural, so specific sightings and river crossings cannot be guaranteed.
The standard package uses selected mid-range lodge and tented-camp accommodation with en-suite rooms or safari tents.
Spend one night at Sweetwaters Serena Camp or a comparable mid-range property serving Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The accommodation provides an en-suite safari stay with convenient access to the conservancy’s wildlife and conservation experiences.
Spend one night at Lake Nakuru Lodge or a comparable mid-range property in the Lake Nakuru safari circuit. The location provides a comfortable base for the afternoon wildlife experience.
Spend two nights at Mara Sopa Lodge or a comparable mid-range property. The two-night stay allows an afternoon arrival game drive, followed by one full private safari day.
Spend one night at Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort or a comparable lakeside property. The stay provides a convenient base for the included boat safari and Crescent Island nature walk.
Spend two nights at Kibo Safari Camp or a comparable mid-range tented property near Amboseli National Park. Two nights provide enough time for an arrival wildlife experience and one complete safari day.
Accommodation remains subject to availability. Tunza Tours will confirm the exact properties before payment and will explain any material change in accommodation standard or price before making a substitution.
The standard package includes a private customized 4×4 Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof for the complete eight-day journey.
Your vehicle remains exclusively with your traveling party, while the professional driver-guide handles the road transfers and private game drives. The Land Cruiser provides good ground clearance and wildlife visibility across the different parks and conservancies.
Because luggage space remains limited, particularly for larger groups, we recommend soft-sided travel bags instead of large hard-shell suitcases.
The lowest advertised rate applies when 6–7 guests travel together in one private 4×4 Land Cruiser on selected low-season dates.
Smaller groups pay a higher per-person rate because fewer travelers share the private vehicle, fuel and driver-guide costs.

Eligible residents receive separate quotations according to the park and accommodation rates that apply to their residency category.
Before payment, Tunza Tours will confirm the exact accommodation, room arrangement, private Land Cruiser, applicable park and conservancy fees, Lake Naivasha activities, meals and final safari price.
Add a specialist Ol Pejeta visit to see the last northern white rhinos under the conservancy’s managed conservation program. Advance booking is recommended.
Add a sunrise balloon safari during the Masai Mara stay, subject to availability and weather conditions.
We can arrange a community visit during the Masai Mara section at an additional cost.
Travelers who want cycling, walking, or geothermal scenery can add Hell’s Gate. However, we recommend adding an extra night in Naivasha rather than making Day 6 unnecessarily rushed.
Higher-end Ol Pejeta camps, Lake Nakuru properties, Masai Mara camps, Naivasha resorts and Amboseli lodges can be quoted separately.
A scheduled flight can replace selected road transfers for travelers who want to reduce driving time. The final quotation will reflect the chosen flight arrangement.
This safari operates throughout the year. January to March generally offers warm, relatively dry conditions across much of the route, while April and May bring greener landscapes, fewer visitors, and the lowest starting prices.
July to October is the busiest period in the Masai Mara and overlaps with the broader migration season. However, accommodation demand and Mara reserve fees also rise significantly during this period. November and early December can provide greener scenery and fewer visitors, although weather conditions vary.
Ol Pejeta, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli remain rewarding throughout the year. Mount Kilimanjaro visibility, flamingo numbers and individual wildlife sightings depend on natural conditions and cannot be guaranteed.
This is a private safari, so your Land Cruiser remains exclusively with your traveling party. However, park regulations, wildlife movements, road conditions and weather still influence game-drive routes and daily timings.
The safari covers five destinations in eight days, creating excellent variety but also including several road transfers. Day 6, from Lake Naivasha to Amboseli, is the longest journey, so travelers who prefer a slower pace may want to add an extra night.
Standard Ol Pejeta entry includes the chimpanzee sanctuary, but specialist conservation experiences remain optional. Similarly, the standard Lake Naivasha boat safari and Crescent Island walk are included, while Hell’s Gate remains optional.
To receive an accurate quotation, provide your preferred travel dates, number of adults, children’s ages, nationality or residency category and room preference.
Because this is a private safari, group size directly affects the per-person rate. The USD 1,950 starting price applies to 6–7 guests traveling together on selected low-season dates and is not the standard two-person rate.
Before payment, Tunza Tours will confirm the accommodation, private Land Cruiser, park and conservancy fees, Lake Naivasha activities, room arrangements and complete safari price in writing.
Cancellation and amendment conditions depend on your travel dates, confirmed accommodation and supplier policies. Peak, migration and festive bookings may have stricter deposit and cancellation requirements.
Tunza Tours will provide the applicable conditions before payment. Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended.
Rates start from USD 1,950 per person sharing for 6–7 travelers on selected low-season dates. A two-person private safari starts from approximately USD 2,595 per person.
