Experience three contrasting Kenyan destinations on this 5-day Naivasha, Nakuru, Masai Mara luxury safari from Nairobi. Begin beside Lake Naivasha with a boat safari, a Crescent Island nature walk, and a Hell’s Gate experience before continuing to Lake Nakuru for rhino-focused wildlife viewing. The journey then finishes with two nights in the Masai Mara, including an afternoon game drive and a complete wildlife day.

This package includes four nights of selected luxury accommodation, standard park and reserve fees, scheduled activities, meals listed in the itinerary, and professional driver-guide services.
The itinerary works particularly well for couples, honeymooners, families and private groups who want a short Kenya safari without sacrificing accommodation quality, vehicle comfort or the variety of experiences.

The safari starts gently in the Great Rift Valley before progressing towards the main wildlife experience in the Masai Mara. This lets the final two nights focus on classic savannah game viewing, rather than ending the journey with another long sequence of activities.
Driving times remain approximate because traffic, road conditions, weather and accommodation locations can affect the schedule.
This itinerary provides more variety than a short safari focused entirely on game drives. Lake Naivasha introduces water and walking experiences, Hell’s Gate adds dramatic Rift Valley scenery, and Lake Nakuru provides strong opportunities for rhino viewing before the journey reaches the Masai Mara.
Finishing with two nights in the Mara also gives the itinerary a natural progression. Rather than moving through several destinations with only brief stops, you arrive in the Mara for an afternoon game drive and then have a complete day for wildlife viewing.
The private Land Cruiser stays with your party throughout the safari, offering more comfort and flexibility than a group-joining tour.
Lake Naivasha is known for hippos, fish eagles, pelicans, and other waterbirds, while Crescent Island offers a guided walk among animals such as giraffes, zebras, waterbucks, and gazelles. Hell’s Gate offers a different environment of cliffs, open grassland and volcanic scenery.
Lake Nakuru is particularly important for black and white rhinos and also supports Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, waterbucks, zebras, baboons and diverse birdlife. Flamingos may be present, although their numbers naturally vary with water and feeding conditions.
The Masai Mara provides opportunities to see lions, elephants, buffaloes, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas and other plains species. Seasonal migration activity may occur during parts of the year, but exact herd locations and river crossings cannot be guaranteed.
The standard package includes selected luxury accommodation with en-suite rooms or safari tents, plus meals according to the itinerary.
Spend the first night at Enashipai Resort & Spa or a comparable luxury property in the Lake Naivasha area. The resort provides spacious en-suite accommodation, landscaped surroundings, and a comfortable base after the day’s Rift Valley activities.
Spend one night at Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge or a comparable luxury safari lodge. Its location provides convenient access to Lake Nakuru National Park and allows the safari experience to continue beyond the game drive.
Spend two nights at Sarova Mara Game Camp or a comparable luxury tented property in the Masai Mara area. The accommodation includes en-suite safari tents and provides a comfortable base for afternoon and full-day Mara game drives.
Accommodation remains subject to availability. Tunza Tours will confirm the exact properties before payment. If your preferred lodge or camp isn’t available, we will propose a comparable luxury alternative and let you know the change and any price difference.
The standard safari includes a private customized 4×4 Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof for wildlife viewing and photography.
The vehicle remains exclusively with your party for all five days. Your professional driver-guide handles the road transfers and game drives, providing continuity from Nairobi pickup through to the final return.
Soft-sided luggage is recommended because safari vehicle storage remains limited, especially for larger private groups.
The lowest advertised rate applies when 6–7 guests travel together in one private 4×4 Land Cruiser on selected low-season departures.
Smaller groups have a higher per-person price because fewer travelers share the private vehicle, fuel, and guide costs.
| Group Size | Green / Low Season | Regular / Shoulder | High / Peak |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 Guests | USD 2,295 pp | USD 2,495 pp | USD 2,995 pp |
| 3 Guests | USD 2,095 pp | USD 2,295 pp | USD 2,795 pp |
| 4 Guests | USD 1,995 pp | USD 2,195 pp | USD 2,695 pp |
| 5 Guests | USD 1,945 pp | USD 2,145 pp | USD 2,645 pp |
| 6–7 Guests | USD 1,895 pp | USD 2,095 pp | USD 2,595 pp |
Christmas, New Year and selected festive periods are quoted separately.
Rates are per person sharing accommodation and apply to the standard luxury itinerary described on this page. Final pricing depends on exact travel dates, confirmed accommodation, room arrangement and traveler category.
Kenyan citizen rates start from approximately KES 159,500 per person sharing when 6–7 guests travel together on selected low-season dates.
Eligible Kenyan and EAC residents receive dedicated quotations based on applicable accommodation and park rates. Smaller private groups receive higher per-person rates because fewer travelers share the Land Cruiser cost.
Tunza Tours does not simply convert the international USD price into Kenyan shillings.
Before payment, Tunza Tours will confirm the total price, group size, accommodation, room arrangement, private 4×4 Land Cruiser, park fees, Lake Naivasha activities, Hell’s Gate experience, meal plan and any optional services.
Add a sunrise balloon flight over the Masai Mara followed by breakfast after landing. The experience is subject to weather and availability and should be reserved in advance.
We can arrange a respectful community visit during the Masai Mara section at an additional cost.
Selected camps can arrange private dining experiences in scenic settings. Availability and pricing depend on the confirmed accommodation.
Guests seeking a higher luxury level can request properties such as The Cliff, Chui Lodge, Elewana Sand River Mara or other premium camps and lodges. We will confirm the additional cost before booking.
A scheduled flight from the Masai Mara to Nairobi can replace the Day 5 road journey at additional cost.
This safari operates throughout the year. April and May generally offer greener landscapes, fewer safari vehicles, and some of the best accommodation value, while January to March and June are popular for general wildlife viewing.
July to October attracts the strongest demand in the Masai Mara because it overlaps with the broader migration season. November and December can still offer rewarding wildlife viewing, although seasonal reserve fees and accommodation prices remain higher than in the first half of the year.
Wildlife movements depend on rainfall and grazing conditions, so you can’t guarantee a migration river crossing.
This is a private safari, so the Land Cruiser remains exclusively with your party. However, park regulations, weather, road conditions, and wildlife movement still determine the final game-drive routes and activity timing.
Day 1 includes several Naivasha experiences, so we recommend leaving Nairobi early. Guests who prefer a slower pace can customize the itinerary or remove one activity before confirmation.
Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed. Flamingo numbers at Lake Nakuru vary naturally, while migration herds and river crossings in the Masai Mara depend on seasonal conditions.
International travelers arriving on Day 1 should share their flight schedule before booking. We may recommend a pre-safari night in Nairobi for late arrivals.
To receive an accurate quotation, provide your preferred travel dates, number of travelers, children’s ages, nationality or residency category and room preference.
Because this is a private safari, group size affects the per-person price. The USD 1,895 starting rate applies to larger private groups on selected low-season dates and is not the standard two-person rate.
Before payment, Tunza Tours will confirm the accommodation, private Land Cruiser, park fees, Naivasha activities, meals and complete safari price in writing.
Cancellation and amendment conditions depend on travel dates, confirmed accommodation and supplier policies. Peak, migration and festive bookings may have stricter payment and cancellation conditions.
Tunza Tours will provide the applicable terms before payment. Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended.
Rates start from USD 1,895 per person sharing for 6–7 guests on selected low-season departures. A two-person private luxury safari starts from approximately USD 2,295 per person.

This five-day safari combines the Great Rift Valley lakes with the Masai Mara without trying to fit too many destinations into a short itinerary. Lake Naivasha provides water, walking, and scenic experiences; Lake Nakuru focuses on rhinos and varied habitats, while the final two nights deliver the classic Masai Mara safari experience.
The revised product also removes the ambiguity of the previous page. The standard package is private, uses a 4×4 Land Cruiser, specifies its luxury accommodation level, includes the core Naivasha experiences, and clearly explains how group size affects the price.
