Experience three distinctive Kenya safari destinations on this 6-day Ol Pejeta Naivasha Masai Mara safari from Nairobi. Start at Ol Pejeta Conservancy for rhinos, conservation experiences, and the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, then travel to Lake Naivasha for a boat safari and Crescent Island nature walk. The journey then finishes with three nights in the Masai Mara.
The itinerary gives each destination a clear purpose without trying to fit too many parks into six days. Ol Pejeta provides the conservation experience, Naivasha changes the pace with water and on-foot activities, and the Masai Mara gets the most time, with an afternoon game drive followed by two full wildlife days.
Throughout the safari, your party travels in a private customized 4×4 Land Cruiser and stays in selected mid-range accommodation. Standard park and conservancy fees, meals listed in the itinerary and the main Naivasha activities are included.

Nairobi → Ol Pejeta Conservancy → Lake Naivasha → Masai Mara → Nairobi
The route moves from Kenya’s central highlands into the Great Rift Valley before finishing in the Masai Mara. Driving times remain approximate because traffic, weather and road conditions can affect each transfer.
This itinerary offers more variety than a safari focused entirely on conventional game drives. At Ol Pejeta, wildlife viewing is combined with conservation experiences and rhino protection. Lake Naivasha then provides a different setting where you explore by boat and on foot.
The safari finishes with three nights in the Masai Mara rather than reducing the reserve to a single full day. This gives you an afternoon game drive and two full safari days, allowing your guide to explore different parts of the reserve based on wildlife activity.
Private Land Cruiser transport also means your party does not need to follow the timetable of unrelated travelers.
Ol Pejeta Conservancy is particularly important for rhino conservation and also supports elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, predators and other wildlife. The standard itinerary includes the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, while specialist experiences such as a northern white rhino visit or night game drive can be added separately.
Lake Naivasha introduces hippos, waterbirds and Rift Valley scenery before the journey continues to the Masai Mara. In the Mara, you have opportunities to look for lions, elephants, buffaloes, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas and other plains wildlife.
Seasonal wildebeest migration activity can occur during parts of the year, but exact herd locations and river crossings remain unpredictable.
Spend your first night at Sweetwaters Serena Camp or a comparable mid-range property in or near Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The preferred accommodation provides en-suite safari tents, meals and convenient access to the conservancy.
Spend one night in the Lake Naivasha area after your boat safari and Crescent Island experience. The property provides comfortable en-suite accommodation and easy access to the lake.
Spend three nights at Mara Leisure Camp or a comparable mid-range tented property. Three nights give you enough time for an arrival-afternoon safari and two complete wildlife days.
All accommodation remains subject to availability. If a preferred property is unavailable, Tunza Tours will propose a comparable mid-range alternative and confirm any price difference before booking.
The standard package includes a private customized 4×4 Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof for wildlife viewing and photography.
The vehicle remains exclusively with your party throughout the six days. This gives you more flexibility with comfort stops and viewing time than a shared safari, although park rules, road conditions, wildlife movements and safety considerations still determine the final daily routes.
Soft-sided luggage is recommended because safari vehicles have limited storage space.
The lowest advertised rate applies when 6-7 guests share one private Land Cruiser on selected low-season departures.
For smaller private groups, the per-person price increases because the fixed vehicle, fuel and driver-guide costs are divided among fewer travelers.
| Group Size | Green / Low Season | Regular / Shoulder | Peak / Migration |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 Guests | USD 2,195 pp | USD 2,395 pp | USD 2,895 pp |
| 3 Guests | USD 1,995 pp | USD 2,195 pp | USD 2,695 pp |
| 4 Guests | USD 1,845 pp | USD 2,045 pp | USD 2,545 pp |
| 5 Guests | USD 1,745 pp | USD 1,945 pp | USD 2,445 pp |
| 6–7 Guests | USD 1,695 pp | USD 1,895 pp | USD 2,395 pp |
Christmas, New Year and other festive periods are quoted separately.
Rates are per person sharing accommodation and apply to the standard mid-range package described on this page.
Kenyan citizen rates start from approximately KES 129,500 per person sharing for 6–7 travelers on selected low-season departures.
Eligible Kenya and EAC residents receive dedicated quotations, as park, conservancy, and accommodation rates vary by traveler category. Smaller private groups will also have a higher per-person price because fewer travelers share the vehicle costs.
Tunza Tours does not simply convert the international USD rate into Kenyan shillings.
Before payment, Tunza Tours will confirm your total safari price, private Land Cruiser, accommodation, room arrangement, applicable park and conservancy fees, Naivasha activities, meal plan and any optional experiences.
You can add a specialist northern white rhino experience at Ol Pejeta. This is separate from the normal conservancy entry and should be requested before booking.
Ol Pejeta offers authorized night game drives, giving you a chance to spot nocturnal wildlife. This activity costs extra and must be arranged through the conservancy.
Guests who prefer cycling, walking or volcanic scenery can request Hell’s Gate as an alternative or additional Naivasha activity. The itinerary will be adjusted so the day does not become unnecessarily rushed.
Add an early-morning balloon safari over the Masai Mara at additional cost. Flights depend on weather conditions and availability.
We can arrange a respectful Maasai community visit in the Mara region at an additional cost.
This safari operates throughout the year. January to March generally brings warm, relatively dry conditions, while April and May offer greener landscapes, fewer visitors and some of the strongest low-season accommodation value.
July to October is the busiest period in the Masai Mara because travelers visit during the broader migration season. However, herd movements and river crossings cannot be guaranteed.
November and early December can provide greener scenery and good resident wildlife viewing, while Christmas and New Year usually attract higher accommodation rates.
This is a private safari, so the Land Cruiser remains dedicated to your party throughout the itinerary. However, conservancy and reserve rules, road conditions, weather and wildlife movements still affect the daily schedule.
Day 2 combines the transfer from Ol Pejeta with the Lake Naivasha activities. Therefore, the safari leaves Ol Pejeta early enough to allow sufficient time for the boat safari and Crescent Island walk.
Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed. Migration crossings in particular depend entirely on natural herd movements and conditions.
To request an accurate quotation, provide your travel dates, number of travelers, children’s ages, nationality or residency category and room preference.
Because this is a private safari, group size directly affects the per-person rate. We’ll calculate the correct price for your party, rather than applying the lowest 6–7-person rate to every booking.
Before payment, your quotation will confirm accommodation, private Land Cruiser, fees, meals, Naivasha activities and optional experiences.
Cancellation and amendment conditions depend on your travel dates, confirmed accommodation and supplier policies. Peak and festive bookings may have stricter payment and cancellation conditions.
Tunza Tours will provide the applicable terms before payment. Comprehensive travel insurance is recommended.
The safari starts from USD 1,695 per person when 6-7 guests share one private Land Cruiser during selected low-season dates. A two-person private safari starts from approximately USD 2,195 pp in low season.

This safari combines three genuinely different experiences rather than simply adding destinations. Ol Pejeta focuses on conservation and rhinos, Lake Naivasha adds water and walking activities, and three nights in the Masai Mara deliver the classic safari experience.
The revised package also includes a private 4×4 Land Cruiser, clear group-size pricing, named mid-range accommodation, and standard mandatory fees before payment.
