Explore three of Kenya’s best-known wildlife destinations on this 6-day Kenya budget safari from Nairobi. The itinerary combines the open plains and big cats of the Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru’s rhinos and Rift Valley scenery, and Amboseli’s elephant herds with possible views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
The safari includes two nights in the Masai Mara, one night in Nakuru and two nights near Amboseli. You travel with other guests in a shared pop-up-roof safari van, which helps keep the cost affordable while still providing dedicated wildlife-viewing time in all three parks. Meals, accommodation, scheduled game drives and standard park fees are included according to the confirmed traveler category.
This package suits solo travelers, couples, friends, families and first-time visitors who want to experience several of Kenya’s major safari areas without paying for private transport or expensive lodges. Kenyan citizens, eligible EAC residents and international travelers receive rates appropriate to their category.

This gives travelers the atmosphere of a tented safari while keeping the package affordable and easy to manage.

Christmas, New Year and other festive dates are quoted separately.
These starting rates apply to selected group departures and are based on per-person sharing accommodation. They include the standard park fees required by the itinerary, so customers do not see an artificially low safari price followed by several hundred dollars in mandatory reserve charges.
Your final quotation depends on your travel dates, traveler category, child’s age, accommodation availability, and room arrangement. A private safari, 4×4 Land Cruiser, single room, additional game drives or upgraded accommodation will increase the rate.
Before payment, Tunza Tours will show the safari price, applicable park fees, confirmed accommodation and any optional extras in one quotation.
Stay for two nights at Wild Nest Mara Camp or a comparable budget tented camp near the Masai Mara. The preferred camp offers permanent en-suite safari tents with proper beds and hot showers, providing practical comfort after each game drive.
Spend one night at a comfortable hotel in Nakuru before the next morning’s park visit. The preferred property offers en-suite rooms, Wi-Fi and standard hotel facilities.
Stay for two nights at Nyati Safari Camp or a comparable budget camp near Amboseli. The camp provides permanent tents or rooms, private toilet facilities and hot/cold showers, with convenient access to the Amboseli area.
Tunza Tours will confirm the exact properties before payment. If one of your preferred options isn’t available, we’ll suggest an alternative of comparable standard.
The standard safari uses a shared safari van with a pop-up roof for road transfers and game drives. The raised roof lets guests stand safely during wildlife viewing when the vehicle is stationary and the guide confirms conditions allow it.
Tunza Tours will limit the standard group to a maximum of seven safari guests per vehicle, helping each traveler access a viewing position. Because luggage space is limited, bring one soft-sided travel bag and a small day bag rather than a large hard-shell suitcase.
Travelers who want additional comfort, stronger rough-road capability, or a private itinerary can request a customized 4×4 Land Cruiser at an additional cost.
Visit a nearby Maasai community to learn about local traditions and daily life. The activity is optional and costs extra. Guests should ask permission before photographing residents.
Add an early-morning balloon flight over the Masai Mara at approximately USD 450 per person, subject to availability, weather and current operator rates.
Add a boat excursion on Day 3 when travel time and the group’s schedule allow. The activity costs extra and must not delay arrival in Nakuru excessively.
Travelers who want a private vehicle or additional off-road capability can request a customized 4×4 Land Cruiser. Tunza Tours will calculate the upgrade according to group size and dates.
The safari operates throughout the year. January to March generally brings warm conditions, while April and May offer greener landscapes and fewer visitors. June marks the transition into the busier safari season.
July to October attracts strong demand because of seasonal wildlife movements in the wider Mara-Serengeti ecosystem. However, no operator can guarantee the timing of migration crossings. Amboseli offers good elephant viewing year-round, while Kilimanjaro visibility depends heavily on weather and is often better during cooler morning hours.
This is a group-joining budget safari. You share the safari vehicle, driver-guide and scheduled game drives with other travelers, so the group follows one agreed timetable.
The long transfers are also an important part of this itinerary. In particular, the journey from Nakuru to Amboseli takes much of Day 4. The route is worthwhile because it combines three different wildlife environments, but travelers should expect several hours on the road between destinations.
Wildlife moves freely, and clouds can hide Mount Kilimanjaro. Therefore, Tunza Tours cannot guarantee the Big Five, migration crossings or a clear Kilimanjaro view.
To receive the correct rate, provide your preferred travel dates, number of adults, children’s ages and traveler category: Kenyan Citizen, eligible EAC Resident or Non-Resident. Please also include your preferred room arrangement, dietary requirements, and Nairobi pickup location.
Tunza Tours will confirm the group departure, accommodation and applicable park rates before sending the final quotation. Your quotation will clearly show the complete safari price and any optional extras before payment.
Once Tunza Tours receives the required payment, it will issue written confirmation with accommodation details, pickup information, and final safari instructions.
Cancellation and amendment conditions depend on travel dates, accommodation suppliers and park-fee payment conditions. Peak and festive periods may have stricter terms because camps often require earlier commitments.
Tunza Tours will provide the applicable cancellation conditions before payment. Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended.
Non-resident rates start from USD 895 per person sharing in January–June and approximately USD 1,095 from July–December. Kenyan citizen rates start at approximately KES 62,500, while eligible EAC resident rates are quoted separately by season.
Yes. The revised package price includes standard park fees required for the confirmed itinerary.
It is a budget tented safari rather than basic public camping. Guests stay in permanent safari tents with beds and bathroom facilities in the Mara and Amboseli, while the Nakuru stay uses a hotel. You do not need to bring camping equipment.
The preferred properties are Wild Nest Mara Camp, Buraha Zenoni Hotel & Resort and Nyati Safari Camp. If any property is unavailable, Tunza Tours will propose a comparable alternative before you book.

Day 1 includes lunch and dinner; Days 2–5 include breakfast, lunch and dinner; and Day 6 includes breakfast and lunch.
The route offers good opportunities to see many iconic African animals, including members of the Big Five. However, wildlife moves freely and no specific sighting can be guaranteed.
Seasonal wildebeest movements may occur in the wider Masai Mara ecosystem, particularly during the popular migration period. We can’t guarantee exact herd locations or river crossings.
Amboseli can provide excellent Kilimanjaro views when weather conditions are clear. However, clouds can obscure the mountain at any time.
A third Mara entry adds substantial cost and makes the transfer to Nakuru more rushed. The standard itinerary therefore uses Day 1 and Day 2 for Mara wildlife viewing, then leaves for Nakuru after breakfast on Day 3.
Yes. The revised package includes an early-morning Amboseli game drive before breakfast, followed by the return journey to Nairobi.
Yes. Tunza Tours can quote either a shared or private 4×4 upgrade depending on availability and group size.
Yes. Hot-air balloon flights can be arranged in the Masai Mara at an additional cost and should be booked early.

This six-day safari combines three distinct Kenya wildlife experiences at a competitive group rate: the Masai Mara for predators and open savannah, Lake Nakuru for rhinos and Rift Valley scenery, and Amboseli for elephants and possible Kilimanjaro views.
Tunza Tours also provides clear resident and non-resident pricing, named accommodation, a maximum vehicle capacity, included standard park fees and a detailed meal plan before you book. The company operates under a Tourisma Regulatory Authority License.
