Travelling Tips

  1.     Bring a good pair of binoculars
Essential for spotting distant wildlife such as lions, leopards, and migrating herds across the plains.
  2.     Keep your camera ready at all times
Wildlife moments happen unexpectedly, so ensure your camera or phone is charged and accessible.
  3.     Use sunscreen, sunglasses, and a wide-brim hat
The African sun can be intense during game drives, especially at midday.
  4.     Carry a refillable water bottle
Staying hydrated is important during long safari drives under the sun.
  5.     Follow your guide’s instructions at all times
For safety and optimal wildlife viewing, always listen carefully and avoid unnecessary movement in the vehicle.
  6.     Pack insect repellent
Helps protect against mosquito bites, especially during evening camp activities.
  7.     Respect wildlife and maintain silence during sightings
Avoid loud noises and sudden movements to prevent disturbing animals and to enjoy better viewing experiences.
  8.     Keep cash for tips and small purchases
It is useful for tipping guides and camp staff, and for buying souvenirs from local Maasai communities.

What to Wear

  1. Lightweight, breathable clothing
Wear cotton or moisture-wicking fabrics to stay comfortable during warm daytime game drives.
  2. Neutral-colored outfits (khaki, beige, olive, brown)
These colors blend with the environment, helping you avoid attracting insects and disturbing wildlife.
  3. Long-sleeved shirts and long trousers
Protect your skin from sunburn, dust, and insect bites, especially during evening and early morning drives.
  4. A warm jacket
Early mornings and nights in the Mara can be chilly, so layering is essential.
  5. Comfortable closed shoes or safari boots
Ideal for walking in camps, nature walks, and providing protection during rough terrain drives.
  6. A wide-brimmed hat or cap
Shields your face and neck from the strong sun during midday game drives.
  7. Sunglasses with UV protection
Reduces glare from the sun and improves visibility during long drives across open plains.
  8. Light scarf or shawl
Useful for dust protection during drives and extra warmth in cool weather.
  9. Rain jacket or windbreaker (seasonal)
Helpful during unexpected showers, especially during migration seasons.
  10. Comfortable loungewear for the lodge
Relaxed clothing for evenings at camp during dinner, bonfire, and downtime.

Tour Plan

Day 1 Journey to the Legendary Masai Mara & Evening Game Drive

Your safari begins with an early morning drive from Nairobi through the scenic Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. On the way, you’ll pass beautiful landscapes, rolling hills, and rural villages before reaching your lodge or tented camp for lunch and a chance to rest.

When you arrive, the staff welcomes you warmly and shows you to your room. After checking in, enjoy a freshly prepared lunch and some time to relax.

As the day cools, your adventure starts. You head out onto the golden plains for your evening game drive. The landscape glows in the soft light as your guide tracks animals and explains predator behavior and the balance of the ecosystem. You might spot elephants, giraffes, antelopes, buffalo, and lions resting under acacia trees.

During the drive, the Mara provides countless photo opportunities. The open plains give you clear views of wildlife, so you can capture everything from dramatic chases to peaceful grazing scenes.

Evenings in the Mara feel magical. As the sun sets, you return to the lodge for dinner and gather around the bonfire to share stories under a star-filled sky.

Day 2 Full-Day Great Migration Safari Experience

After an early breakfast, you head out for a full-day safari deep into the Mara. This is your best chance to witness the incredible Great Migration, one of the world’s most famous wildlife spectacles.

You’ll watch thousands of wildebeests and zebras move across the plains, often followed by predators. You might even see dramatic river crossings at the Mara River, where crocodiles wait below the surface. It’s an unforgettable experience.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wild, surrounded by nature's sights and sounds.

After lunch, your safari continues deeper into the reserve as you search for the Big Five: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino. Expert trackers help you spot these animals by reading their footprints, listening for alarm calls, and observing their movement patterns.

The pace slows so you can take in the scenery, snap photos, and enjoy the peaceful rhythm of the wild. As the sky changes from gold to deep orange and red, your day in the wilderness comes to a close.

Back at the lodge, you’re welcomed with cool towels and drinks. After a day of adventure, you can relax, take a shower, and enjoy the calm atmosphere of the lodge.

Later, dinner is served in a cozy and elegant setting.

Day 3 Magical Hot Air Balloon Safari & Maasai Cultural Experience

Before sunrise, you head to the launch site for a hot air balloon ride over the Masai Mara plains.
As the balloon lifts with the sunrise, you float quietly above herds of wildebeests, elephants, zebras, and giraffes. The sweeping views of the Mara in the morning light make this a one-of-a-kind African experience.
After landing, you are welcomed to a beautifully set bush breakfast in the heart of the wilderness. Tables are arranged under acacia trees, with open plains and distant wildlife all around.

Back at the lodge, you can unwind after your early adventure, take a break, and relive the balloon ride by looking at photos and sharing stories.

You visit a traditional Maasai village near the reserve, where the Maasai community welcomes you with a cultural dance. You learn about their way of life and can browse colorful beadwork and souvenirs made by local artisans.

As the sun sets over the plains, you return to the lodge to relax. Dinner is served at the lodge.

Day 4 Sunrise Game Drive & Bush Sundowner Experience

You’ll wake up early for a sunrise game drive, which is the best time to see predators in action. Exploring different parts of the reserve, discovering hidden wildlife, and enjoying beautiful scenery. Guides help make every moment an exciting adventure into nature.

You return to the lodge to relax and enjoy a swim. Lunch is freshly prepared, offering a mix of local and international dishes in a peaceful safari setting.

In the afternoon, you continue your safari at a slower pace, driving through different parts of the reserve and capturing great photos along the way.

You visit a scenic spot in the wild for a traditional bush sundowner. Relax in a comfortable open-air lounge with drinks, light snacks, and views over the endless savannah.

You return to the lodge, and Dinner is served.

Day 5 Nature Walk & Departure

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the lodge, with views of wildlife grazing nearby. This is your last chance to soak in the peace and beauty of the Mara before you leave.

Take a guided nature walk in the area. Your guide explains how predators, herbivores, and plants all live together in balance.

Make a short, final scenic stop in the reserve to catch last glimpses of iconic wildlife.

Return to the lodge for check-out, where the staff bids you a warm farewell after making your safari comfortable and memorable.

You are driven back to Nairobi, taking unforgettable memories with you.
