Day 1 Nairobi To Watamu

Your trip starts in Nairobi and takes you to the Kenyan coast, where you’ll be welcomed in the peaceful beach town of Watamu. You’ll check into a beach resort surrounded by palm trees and the Indian Ocean. The rest of the day is for you to relax, settle in, and enjoy the white-sand beaches and ocean breeze.

Later, you can enjoy a peaceful sunset walk along the shore. In the evening, you can try a Swahili seafood dinner and start discovering the local flavors and hospitality that make Watamu special.

As the sun sets, you can take a relaxing walk along the shore and capture the golden-hour views. Afterward, you may choose to have a Swahili seafood dinner and try the coast’s unique flavors.

Day 2 Watamu Marine Experience

After breakfast, you’ll explore Watamu Marine National Park, one of Kenya’s top ocean spots. Take a boat ride to the coral reefs, where you can snorkel and see colorful fish and marine life. If you’d rather stay dry, you can choose a glass-bottom boat to view the underwater world.

On the fourth day, you’ll explore Malindi’s culture and history. Start with a visit to the Vasco da Gama Pillar, a historic monument by the ocean. Next, head to Malindi Marine National Park, where you can snorkel or take a boat ride over the coral reefs full of marine life.

Continue your cultural tour with a visit to the Portuguese Chapel, a peaceful historic site that shares the story of early coastal life and Swahili heritage. Then, explore Swahili markets to see local crafts and daily life. End the day with a relaxing sunset dinner on the beach, taking in Malindi's culture and beauty.

Day 5 Malindi To Nairobi

On your last day, start early with a trip to the Mambrui Sand Dunes, where golden sands meet the Indian Ocean. Walk across the dunes, take great photos, and enjoy the wide views where the ocean and the sand meet.

You can also stop at the Sabaki River mouth viewpoint for more great scenery before heading back to the hotel. After a break, you’ll get ready to return to Nairobi. This trip leaves you with lasting memories of marine adventures, peaceful forests, rich culture, and the unique beauty of the coast.
